Welcome to the www.CardiffRifleClub.co.uk update for April 2001.

On the whole the site at first glance does not appear to have changed much visually, however a lot of work has gone into the 'behind the scenes' part of the site which will make it much more managable and hence easier to update so expect more regular updates in the future. However there are a number of new items that we can point you to.

NEWS -
A number of news items have been published on site about the current status and goings on in the club, these include the good news about our council rates and the rebate we recieved, new safety equipment in the range and club room, a report on our 2000/01 AGM and a brief report on feedback we have had from this site.

COMPETITIONS -
All of the 1999/2000 competitions have been fully updated now as have the 2000/2001 competitions meaning that we are now fully up to date with all results for both club and team shooting. Several historical results have also been added to show the history of each competition. The new Summer League 2001 team and fixtures have also been announced.

MEET THE MEMBERS -
We are greatly pleased to welcome to the club our very first 'Internet Member' Christian Solik, he was one of the first people to contact us through the site and has been a very enthusiastic regular ever since, as well as his enthusiasm for the sport Christian is also beginning to put together a very nice run of decent scores and lookjs to have a very good future in shooting. Christian has been added to our 'Meet The Members' section and has also very kindly written an article for the site about his experiences with us over the time he has been here. Thank you Christian and good luck with the shooting, hopefully you'll be pushing for a team place very soon.

NEW SITES -
After seeing the site we have been asked by two of our associate bodies to create a website for their organisations, which we gladly accepted to do. The South Wales Counties site is initially included in this update and you can find results of the 2001 SWCSRA open shoot held just a few weeks ago at Penarth Rifle Club, look for more news to appear on this site very soon, including news regarding the SWCSRA outdoor shoot date which was postponed from earlier this year. The Welsh Smallbore Rifle Association is also in the process of putting together a plan for us to create them a site in the near future, check back soon for more news on this front.

NEW SITES -
Thank you for everyone who has pointed out any problems with the site over the past few months, it is very difficult to make sure that every link we have it live and it is very valuable for us that people tell us if we have made a mistake so we can correct it. We also ran into some mail problems, namely the script that out forms were driven by was based on another site and has mysteriously dissapeared, however that has now been replaced with scripts of our own so there should no longer be therse problems. If you do find any problems however can you please drop us an e-mail stating what is wrong and we will do our level best tio fix it.
